Well,

having been the treasurer for the last year, lets get one thing out of the way.

I haven't changed any standing form mandates, I have merely printed off what I recieved.

In fact the design and copy write of the form is held by Alex Friar, so I didn't think I could. There were also several photo copies which I have carried on copying.

For example, as membership sec for the last several years, standing orders are the biggest pain in the world; ie people paying £5.00 still, I have contacted them to increase their subs, but they don't respond. Some you can't trace at all, and have to wait for them to contact you, usually when they get the hump when they don't recieve news letters. Some people only providing a bank account number and no name, try tallying that up to membership subs, esp when they start complaigning, need I go on?

My job was made easier paying by cash or cheque, the details of the person were written down in the membership or treasury books, together with the correct amount for either single, joint or family.
