Hi Paul,

That happened with the private messages I sent too but the people I sent them to did get them. I kind of thought they maybe went from outbox to sent (as mine seem to have done) once the person they are sent to reads them. I might be wrong though!!

Thanks, that seems logical - I'll have to find a way to prompt Beth to read her PMs and see what happens. It's only because she is from near us, and when back from Edinbugh we'd invited her to meet up with our motley crew.

It is driving me NUTS trying to put a picture on here! Have been trying to do the avatar bit with no success at all. Followed Artemis' instructions which were fine up until you get the option resize and then small because my poxy bleeping computer does not have that option. Maybe it is too old and past it for such things - (the computer that is, not me!) Can anyone make a suggestion short of throwing it out of the window? Thanks, Helen.

Hi Kerry
If you have windows XP you can right click the Photo you want and it gives you a choice as to what size you want. If your on Vista instead of getting a re-sizing tool, right click photo again and take option to send y e'mail, send it to yourself then you can save it to a folder of your choice.

Help please!!!!!!

I'm losing my patience, and I can't afford a new laptop, or a replacement window.
I'm trying to post some pics using the 'upload attachment' tab at the bottom but each time I press 'add', I get the message that the picture is invalid

What am I doing wrong?

Hi Ian,

Does it tell you why the picture is invalid? It is usually because the picture is too big to upload as they have to be a certain size (sorry can't remember the size off the top of my head).

Pictures have size limits so that the web page download times do not get too long.

The best size is 450 pixels wide x any length as it will fit without scrolling sideways. 450px wide x 400px long fits with no scrolling at all.

The maximum file size (on the current settings) is 256K per image.

Best formats are .jpg or .png (jpg's are smaller - png are better quality)

Avatars should be square - between 20px x 20px minimum and 90px x 90px maximum with a maximum file size of 6K (which is quite small but OK for images that size). JPG is the best format.
